Costa Rica GREEN Program: Day 7 (1/14/14)

Lake arenal is man-made. Reinforced concrete barriers restrict the water on either edge of the landscape, through earth quake and volcano eruption, letting only a small amount gush through tunnels down the hill to the power station. The force of the water turns massive turbines to create energy. Simple, effective, and powerful.
