A családom

(my family in hungarian according to google translate)

I felt kind of ashamed, but when I arrived in Colorado Springs, I had no idea how I was related to these people. I’m sure my mom would have given me more of a family history eventually, and I have picked up bits and pieces on the way, but really I was clueless. So here’s the lowdown. My great grandparents, Mary and Andrew Juhasz, emigrated from Hungary. They had four children: Andrew, William, Mary and Agnes (my grandmother). So Lydia, Jan, and Skippy are Andrew’s children and my mom and all of her brothers and sisters are Agnes’ children – so they’re cousins. I feel like I’m sounding kind of stupid at this point, but it takes a while for me to wrap my head around this stuff. So me hanging out with Joey is like my future children hanging out with my cousin’s future children. So really, not that distant of relatives.
